We exist to connect all those who foster, adopt, are kinship carers or have special guardianship in Suffolk, regardless of beliefs, background or agency they were approved through.
We promote the need for more foster carers and adopters throughout Suffolk Churches.
Considering Fostering or Adoption?
Supporting Foster Carers, Adopters, Kinship Carers and Special Guardians
Connecting with other carers can be a huge support and so all families in Suffolk who foster, adopt, or offer kinship care or special guardianship are welcome to join our regular meetups we call Connect Groups.
Resources and Support
It’s often good to talk through issues with others who understand. We are able to offer peer advice, suggest useful articles and books or signpost parents and carers to professional support. We have a closed Facebook group an a dedicated prayer team.
We organise activities throughout the year so that all families in Suffolk who foster, adopt, or offer kinship care or special guardianship can be connected and grow together in environments where they don’t feel judged.
Promoting Adoption and Fostering within Suffolk Churches
We can share practical ways churches can support families who foster, adopt, or offer kinship care or special guardianship to be welcoming, inclusive and supportive.
We speak at church services and events about the vision of Home for Good and share the work of our local movement. We hold regular information events for those considering fostering/adoption.
